The LinkedIn Social Selling Index, or SSI for short, was created as a formula to quantify how well people have embraced social selling on a scale from 1 to 100. According to LinkedIn, social sellers create 45% more opportunities than peers with a lower SSI score, 51% more likely to achieve quota, and outsell peers who don't use social media. How is your social selling index score calculated? LinkedIn's SSI score is calculated using the following four categories: 1. Establish Your Professional Brand – How complete is your LinkedIn profile? 2. Find the Right People – Are you using the Advanced Search function or Lead Builder to identify prospects? 3. Engage with Insights – Are you sharing content and engaging other people's status updates or company updates? 4. Build Relationships – Are you building relationships with senior leaders and decision-makers? How do you improve your social selling index score? How can you use LinkedIn for lead generation? Here are five tips to help you improve your LinkedIn social selling index (SSI) score. Your SSI score should improve by spending as little as 15 minutes a day on LinkedIn and following these tips. NOTE: If you have LinkedIn Sales Navigator, the SSI is baked into that premium platform for LinkedIn lead generation, LinkedIn marketing, and LinkedIn social selling. Remember, your LinkedIn SSI score is just a number. Everything you do on LinkedIn should add value, so your network will think of you in the future and recommend you to others. With face-to-face conversations with your clients and prospects, you understand how to build trusted relationships. Those same principles apply online with LinkedIn. 📒 Show Notes and Resources 📒 TIMECODES ⏰ 00:20 What is the LinkedIn Social Selling Index (SSI) Score? 00:45 How is the LinkedIn SSI Score Calculated? 01:30 Calculate Your LinkedIn SSI Score 01:52 Boost Your Personal Brand with a Completed LinkedIn Profile 02:38 Proactively Search for the Right People to Connect with on LinkedIn 03:06 Engage with Relevant Insights and Share Valuable Content on LinkedIn 03:52 Join Groups to Connect with the Right People on LinkedIn 04:14 Bringing It All Together Our mission here at Knowledge Enthusiast is to help digital marketers with weekly tips and tools to kickstart their digital marketing careers.
