Russian tourists are the largest group of visitors to Turkey. As a reaction to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, western countries have imposed sanctions that make travelling much harder for Russian citizens. Turkey has so far refused to impose the same sanctions, and hopes for a high turnout of Russian visitors. We spoke to people in the popular beach destination Antalya to get a feel for the mood amongst tourism experts and tourists.
