Imagine planning an international trip with your friends and getting to know that your visa was rejected just 4 days before the flight. Yep, happened with our group but thankfully we got an emergency visa approved on time! ————————————- Reason for rejection: 1. Mismatch of details on passport and visa application: My friend does not have a last name on the passport but it was a compulsory field in Vietnam visa application form. Since there were no clear instructions, we wrote the first name in the surname field too. Because of this reason, the visa was rejected. ———————————— What did we do? Reached out to the Vietnam embassy, called up all the travel and visa agents we knew only to find out that visa application would take 3-10 days to process again. It was a huge risk, hence we decided to take up the Emergency visa route. It costed my friend around ₹15K+ visa fee to get an emergency visa but it was processed in 2 days! ———————————- Follow + DM if you want the number of the agent we got this visa done from —————————- Things to keep in mind while filling out vietnam visa application: 1. Check all the details on your passport match with the document you are filling 2. The passport image and the uploaded image should be identical else the visa gets rejected sometimes 3. For a safer side, keep the date of entry 3-4 days prior to your actual date of travel 4. Recheck the port of entry and exit- they are super important in the application! 5. There is no Visa on arrival in Vietnam.
