Tesla CEO Elon Musk sold about 7.92 million shares worth over $6.9 billion between, saying the funds could be used to finance a potential Twitter deal if he loses a legal battle with social media platforms. Musk now owns over 155 million shares in Tesla. He had said in April that there were "no further TSLA sales planned" - after he sold shares worth $8.5 billion in the company. Musk has tried to walk away from buying Twitter, which is suing him to enforce the takeover. According to legal experts, if Musk loses his battle against Twitter and is forced to complete the acquisition or pay a penalty, he could conceivably have to sell more Tesla shares. #elonmusktwitter #teslashares #twitterdeal #swarajyanews Subscribe to Swarajya on YouTube.
