The iconic Workhorse build by Diesel Brothers out of Salt Lake City Utah. It’s no secret the Dodge Ram 5500 is a brute. In 2013, the 5500 was outfitted with a new high-strength frame, new cooling system, and updated Aisin Transmission and T-case, pushing the maximum towing capacity to a staggering 29,600 pounds. It’s easy to understand why we chose this platform for our “working class” giveaway. When what is now dubbed “The Workhorse” showed up at the Sparks Motors compound, it was white, stock, and blah. First things first… the white paint had to go. Instead, a fresh coat of metallic black was laid down to pair with the Bradford Built flatbed. Thanks to Motorsport Tech, we ditched the dual rear tires for super singles, using custom-made wheel adapters. Based on load specs, we knew we wanted to run the Continental MPT 81 Tires and we wanted to run it in a 41″ (335/80R20) wrapped around custom-made 20″ American Force wheels. To fit these tires, we needed to get this truck up off the ground. To do this, we took a Rough Country 5″ Long Arm kit originally designed for a 2012 Dodge Ram 3500, customized the brackets to fit the 5500 and in the process gained another 2″ of lift bringing the total to 7″ over stock. toxicdiesel.com dieselsellerz.com Thank you for subscribing to our channel
