It's expensive but totally worth it! Nelson island has lots of things to do, check them out here https://www.sunshinecoastcanada.com/explore/south-coast/nelson-island/ Refuge Cove is a great place to feel the local community and history in the Desolation Sound area https://refugecove.com/ The rapids that I showed you are best to visit during high tide twice daily, explore them further here: https://www.sunshinecoastcanada.com/things-to-do/hidden-gems/skookumchuck-narrows/ This restaurant in Gibsons was truly wonderful, everything we ate was perfect, my favourites were the fish n chips, crab cakes and oysters https://www.smittysoysterhouse.com/ To charter the boat I was on, email brianosullivan1@gmail.com There are laws to be respected when flying drones or boating close to whales and orcas. Make sure you read up on those when you visit BC and if you film with a drone - set it to 4K so you can zoom in like I did. We were lucky enough to have whales swim up very close to us voluntarily, but otherwise it's necessary to respect a distance between yourself and wildlife at all times. There are fines for those who break this law.
