The race for the Chief Minister's post in Karnataka has intensified after the Congress's victory in the state elections. Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar and former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah are the frontrunners for the top job. Supporters of Karnataka's two tallest Congress leaders have launched a "poster war" demanding that their leader be named the next Chief Minister of Karnataka. The poster war erupted a day after the Congress swept the Karnataka assembly elections with a comfortable margin on May 13. Supporters of KPCC Chief DK Shivakumar have said that he is the one who united the Congress to fight the election. They have also pointed to his record of winning elections from his home constituency of Kanakapura. Supporters of former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah have said that he is the most experienced leader in the Congress and that he has a proven track record of governance. They have also pointed to his development work during his previous tenure as Chief Minister. The Congress is yet to announce its Chief Ministerial candidate. However, the poster war is a clear indication that the race for the top job is heating up. #dkshivakumar #siddaramaiah #karnataka #congress #latestnews https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLzjPDNc5ZgsDVD2U9Kc_1363oOZLp894r Subscribe to The Times of India's YouTube channel: http://goo.gl/WgIatu For daily news & updates and exclusive stories, follow the Times of India Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/TimesofIndia Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/timesofindia/ Download the app: http://toi.in/3SLUCa80 Follow TOI+ for well-researched and in-depth news and analysis Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/timesofindiaplus Twitter: https://twitter.com/TOIPlus Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/toi_plus/
