Your SumUp Air card reader is not connecting? Here’s how to reset the SumUp card reader’s Bluetooth connection and reconnect the device. First, turn your phone’s Bluetooth off and close the SumUp app – don’t just minimise but fully close the application. Next, ensure your card reader isn’t charging and turn it off by holding the power button for 3 seconds. Once that’s done, press the power button again to turn the card reader back on until it beeps and you see a message on screen. Head to the SumUp App and tap the profile icon, select “Payment methods” and then tap “Air”. Now find the 3-digit-code on the back of your card reader and select the corresponding option in the app. This will reconnect the reader to the app and its LEDs will flash to confirm the connection.
