An awesome day of travel photography in Rotterdam, Netherlands See my images from Rotterdam on my instagram at @brendanvanson. I'm here in Rotterdam, Netherlands on a travel photography assignment for the tourism board. I'm absolutely loving town so far, and today's vlog will show you why. The day started off as so many days do: with me being really late for something. But, eventually, I got to the train station in Rotterdam and picked up a bike. Then, a guide from Urban Guides picked me up and we went cruising around the city doing a bit of exploring and I took it as a way to do some photo location scouting as well. After the tour was over, I retreated to my hotel which was the Citizen M. I absolutely love this spot. Might be my new favourite hotel chain. There, I spent a couple hours getting caught up on work. In the evening, I headed to a dinner place in Rotterdam called Aloha Bar. It's this cool spot that was converted into a restaurant from an old swimming pool. It was vegan night, which was probably good for me as I have been eating really unhealthy so far. Then, around sunset, I went off to shoot some travel photography in Rotterdam. The city has a lot of potential for some cool photos. I started down on the riverfront where there are some of the more classic style images of the city. Then, when the blue hour hit, I moved on to the train station. Rotterdam Centraal is such an iconic building, and I'm always a big fan of shooting the most iconic locations first, just to get them out of the way. All in all, it was a fantastic day of travel photography in Rotterdam. Today was a bit of a location scouting day, but tomorrow I'm going to do more full-on photography. It should be another fun day in the Netherlands. So, I hope to see you on tomorrow's photography vlog.
