What happens when you get a new bird, and it is too afraid to even take food from your hands, let alone come out of its cage? In this video, I show how we started working with our education ambassador Chiquita the toucan, and these methods work well with any kind of parrot. I avoid the fear and aggressive response at all costs, keep sessions short and positive, and end up with a new friend within just a few days of brining her home!
