"Hon’ble YSRCP MP Dr. Gumma Thanuja Rani Garu participated in the Lok Sabha debate on the Railway Budget. She firmly requested that Araku Valley Railway Station not be transferred from Waltair Division to Rayagada Division, citing potential harm to tribal sentiments. The station must remain under Waltair Division’s jurisdiction. She further emphasized the inclusion of Visakhapatnam in the high-speed train project, alleging deliberate exclusion by the state government. Visakhapatnam, situated on the Howrah-Chennai main line, witnesses the passage of 508 trains daily and, being 363 kilometers from Amaravati, requires high-speed rail connectivity. Additionally, she urged the appointment of a permanent General Manager for the newly established Visakhapatnam Railway Zone.
