Have you ever had your cassette tapes sound really muffled all of the sudden during playback…and take it out of the deck to notice that the felt pressure pad has come loose?! No need to throw it away…you can get it sounding like new again within minutes. This can easily be fixed with super-glue, a toothpick or paper clip, and tweezers will also come in handy. If you don't have extra pads laying around, you can find sheets of felt at different thicknesses here https://amzn.to/3VUVo0R Just re-attach by lifting the clear leader tape a bit, adding a tiny drop of super glue to the metal pressure pad holder, squaring the felt pad there and letting it dry for as long as you can wait 🎶 5-10 minutes is safe. Then get back to rocking or selling it! Unless you have a high end Nakamichi tape deck that bypasses the felt pad (and often tears them off ), this tip may come in handy down the road!
