Written by Arthur Leo Owens and Dallas Frazier. Arranged by Marty Manning and produced by Mike Berniker. From the album, “Johnny One Time”. 1969 marked the end of a very successful decade for Brenda. After first hitting the Hot-100 in 1957, she had 50 chart entries through 1969. Her Hot-100 hits dried almost as soon as the 70s began but she switched emphasis and had a successful run of Top-20 country hits, beginning with “Nobody Wins” in 1973. The “Johnny One Time” album, named after the hit single (1969, #41) of the same name, reached #98 on the album chart. The album also included the singles, “Let It Be Me” and “Bring Me Sunshine”, neither of which charted. Arthur Leo Owens and Dallas Frazier wrote many country songs. As a solo writer, Dallas penned the Oak Ridge Boys’ #5 hit, “Elvira” (1981).
