A Giant hornet (Vespa mandarinia) attacks a nest of Japanese honeybees (Apis cerana japonica). While the Japanese honeybees resist, some of them are caught. However, they are sometimes able to drive off the Giant hornet using a hot defensive bee ball. This hot defensive bee ball typically occurs inside the hive, not outside, when the Giant hornet has invaded the hive.
