Full title: Olusola Ajilore, MD, PhD: “Brain network correlates of negative valence systems in internalizing psychopathologies: Implications for treatment” Network perspectives on brain function have revolutionized the way we conceptualize psychiatric disorders. This talk will present data on using multimodal neuroimaging techniques to understand how brain network alterations connect mood and cognition, how these network abnormalities respond to treatment, and how novel treatments may be designed to target network dysfunction. Specifically, we utilized network embedding methods to examine structural and functional connectome alterations in patients with internalizing psychopathologies and how these multimodal alterations may characterize treatment response to pharmacotherapy and cognitive behavioral therapy.
