Do you have to buy books and courses to get better as a writer? Our ancestors had found the answer: copy work. Haven't heard of it? It's easy. Just find a writer who does something you want to get better at: comic timing, simple and quick summaries, good introduction, you name it. Copy the sections that have the element you want to absorb. It's best to do it by hand, long form. The act itself will teach you what they did and how they did it, and before long you'll be able to use those techniques effortlessly, serendipitously! Everyone has their weak points, but you can shore those up with just a little elbow grease. There's no need to make it conscious and teach it if you can put it directly into action and think more on it at length. --- From Sam Parr on The Nathan Barry Show - Episode 030 Subscribe to Nathan Barry’s newsletter: https://nathanbarry.com Start your own newsletter: https://ConvertKit.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/nathanbarry Instagram: https://instagram.com/nathanbarryshow
