I admire the brave people of Iran who protest against the brutal regime ruling their country, and especially the Iranian women who fight for their freedom. The "Song of Equality" (سرود برابری) has become one of the most iconic songs of the protest movement, so I wanted to create this piano version to show my solidarity. In memory of Mahsa Amini, and the countless other victims of the Islamic Republic of Iran. You can download the sheet music for free here: https://bit.ly/3Ri0sal This anthem of Iranian women was written by female activists, and became popular after it was sung by a group of women on the subway in Tehran in 2018. If you want to read more about it, an article on the song's background story was published here: https://bianet.org/english/women/195134-story-of-anthem-sung-by-women-at-iran-subway This is a translation I found for the lyrics (original below): I will sprout from the wound on my body Just because I am a woman, a woman, a woman If we sing and march together, if we hold hands We can get rid of oppression We will create a new world of equality and sisterhood A better and happier world No stoning, no gallows, no tears, no shame We will create a new world of equality and sisterhood A better and happier world Original lyrics (Persian / Farsi):
