FIIs can include hedge funds, insurance companies, pension funds, investment banks, and mutual funds. They are important for the development of a nation, but some nations such as India have kept a limit to the total value of shares, they can purchase. This is done to limit their influence on individual companies because it can be dangerous if they fled during a crisis making potential damage to our financial market. Developing countries have the highest number of FII’s to bring up and develop their economy providing higher growth potential to the investors.
