What is Sustainability Triple Bottom Line? The triple bottom line is a sustainable business concept that measures the value of a company's success using three criteria, namely People (Social), Planet (Environment), and Profit (Economy). 3Ps are used to measure the success of a company that was previously only focused on financial profit, but with 3Ps the company can do other things and examine the impact of business on the environment. 1. People (Social) How companies influence and bring benefits to workers, laborers, and society. This is done to ensure the continuity of its business, where companies cannot only pay attention to the interests of getting profit, but companies must also pay attention to people who play an important role in their business. Not only that, if you apply this concept it will also foster a good image of the company, both in the eyes of workers and the public as consumers. There are a number of things you can do, for example by providing fair wages, a humane-working system, empowerment by teaching skills, and so on. 2. Planet (Environment) How companies try to create a business that is in harmony with nature and minimizes negative impacts on the environment. Where the goal is to preserve the environment and avoid negative impacts that might damage the environment, such as floods, land fires, to climate change. For example, reducing the use of imported raw materials which can cause a carbon footprint, replacing plastic packaging with paper or glass packaging, holding waste segregation at production sites or shops, processing organic waste into compost, and so on. There are so many things that can be done. 3. Profit (Economy) How does the company benefit financially, which is of course in line with the previous 2Ps (people and planet)?
