Uncontrollable shaking is incredibly soothing for the nervous system. 💡 It can foster feelings of safety, agency, calm. 💜 Euphoria. When I first began a shaking practice, it was not pleasurable. It was new and scary and definitely a practice that I needed to lean into. It is now incredibly pleasurable with a very heightened sense of enjoyment. I am hesitant to compare it to an orgasm, but it feels practically orgasmic to me and the after effects are pretty addictive to me. You might sometimes feel a tremor during a stretch or exercise and if it feels safe to go with it, then do. I personally love this position. Butterfly legs. 👉 Slowly raise hips up 👉 Stay up and slowly close legs halfway 👉 Stay 1-2 minutes 👉 Lower hips down and open legs and then 👉 Slowly close legs and open 3 times 👉 Stay halfway closed for 2 minutes When the shaking starts, just lean into it. Surrender and see what happens. 💡The origin of the shaking is from a system called TRE - trauma release exercises by David Berceli. You can read all about his system online and why it’s so powerful but essentially animals shake in nature, all of the time to release pent-up tension and as humans, we do not do that. So we store a lot of trauma, tension and pain in our nervous system. It does not usually get released and it is so important to release that pent up energy, stress and emotion. 💜 Try it and let me know how it goes for you. 💜 Enjoy. Share. Comment.
