As the sun rose in Boca Grande, it was do-or-die in the final regular season event of the 2010 Miller High Life Professional Tarpon Tournament Series presented by Yamaha. By the end of the day the field of 50 teams would be cut to 25 and only those worthy would have their shot at glory in the Tarpon cup Championship. With veteran Capt. Artie Price and Team Miller's Ale House virtually guranteed to win the Skeeter Team of the Year Race, the battle for second place, and a coveted spot in the Tarpon Cup Champioship raged across the waters of Boca Grande Pass. More tarpon were weighed in week 5 than any other tournament in 2010, led by Capt. Steve Bowler, Team Scout Boats, and their 152 pound tarpon in first place. Only 1 pound separated second and third place in week 5 as Team Reel Mojo and Capt. Rick McKeever weighed in with 147 pounds barley edging the Reelshark.com team led by Capt. Mike Myers at 146 pounds. Capt. Chuck Howard of Team Howard Leasing weighed their first fish of the 2010 PTTS season and took fourth place with 139 pounds followed closely by the fifth place and Team Sea Hunt Boats weighing in with 138 pounds.
