Canon RF 15-35mm 4K Video Test (Shot it in Singapore) Early February, I went to Singapore for a short trip. And I did a little video test of the Canon newest RF 15-35mm f/2.8L lens. I gotta say, this test might not be the best right now as I did the whole video on the EOS-R. Which has the 1.75x crop in 4K. So the focal length after the crop is roughly around 25-60mm. And ofocz it would have been better if I had the R5 with me back then (LOL). I think I might re-do this lens again when the EOS R5 is here. So first of all, great build quality from Canon as usual. It feels well when mounting on the EOSR. I like the lens image stabilization. Works really well. And the lens is crazy sharp. And not much of the distortion even in photo mode. So is this lens worth it for video? I would say yes for the EOS R5 but no for the EOS R. The reason is, the EOS R has a massive crop in 4K. So you lose the whole point of using a super wide angle lens. I would rather go for the EF 16-35mm f/4.0L on a Metabones Speedbooster right now. Cos that speedbooster reduces the crop back to 1.2x and you get an extra stop too. So the 16-35mm IS will become 18-45mm f/2.8 IS. Hope you guys like the video, and thanks for watching ^.^, Please subscribe for more videos like this Follow me on instagram to see more behind the scenes and product shots. http://instagram.com/dsipictures/ DSI Pictures Entertainment 2020 Filmed and edited by Steve Chan www.dsipictures.com
