To begin I added some videos to my timeline and I want to replace one of them with another footage that I added to my project. While holding down the alt key on your keyboard, drag and drop the replacement footage from your project panel into the video you want to be replaced. Because the length of my replacement footage was smaller than the original video, I see this black screen between my videos now. To remove the gap, first, move the play head at the end of the footage. Now move the mouse above the cut between your clips until you see the icon changes, now hold down ctrl key and click and drag until you reach the play head. There is another way to replace the clip in your timeline, undo all the changes. First click on your footage in project panel, then right-click on the clip you want to be replaced and select replace with clip, from bin.
