India Today Live TV: BPSC Protest Updates | AAP vs BJP in Delhi | South Korea Plane Crash Former Prime Minister and veteran Congress leader Manmohan Singh, the architect of several groundbreaking reforms that liberalised the economy, died in Delhi on Thursday after a prolonged illness. The 92-year-old renowned economist was admitted to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi, on Thursday evening after a "sudden loss of consciousness", the hospital said in a statement. AIIMS said that Manmohan Singh was "being treated for age-related medical conditions and had sudden loss of consciousness at home on December 26. He was brought to the Medical Emergency at AIIMS, New Delhi at 8.06 pm. Despite all efforts, he could not be revived and was declared dead at 9.51 pm."
