Suspended in time and defying gravity, this collection levitates underwater. Its garments are meant to equip the traveller, a traveller of another time and another landscape. A distorted reality, where you can walk and climb rocks underwater, where the body disassociates from the mind and what you see through this underwater filter is askew, wavy and provides endless combinations of light reflecting on surfaces. This collection presents post-modern utility wear, inspired in cliff diving and fishing. It investigates the classic workman jacket and sailor gear from the 1920's, with intricate craftsmanship and as if it had walked through a shipwreck holds details in rope, net and hooks. In juxtaposition, we find soft knits that through prints and silhouettes emulate the sensation of falling underwater at night, with glints of light and fluorescent reflection of corals and mollusks crawling. In close proximity with Martin Across' brand DNA, this collection replicates patterns, shapes and textures from South American landscapes - as if you were climbing through the rocky Andes feeling the cold air through your face. Feeling lightheaded because of the altitude, but exhilarated by the strength of your body gripping itself to the rock. This collection explores utility wear and its capacity to evolve, transform and adapt through these landscapes of both rock and water.
