Make sure that your seeds are fresh and not dead. You can easily tell this by trying to sprout your seed mixture. If your seeds don't sprout chances are it's not the best seed mixture. Also, I added my eggshells inside the mixture but forgot to add it to the video. It adds extra calcium. If you plan on making your own seed mix make sure you do it correctly. Talkbudgies has a great information on how to commercially prepare seed mix in your own comfort if you want to be precise about the ingredients and the measurements.
