December 6, 2018 | New Delhi ABOUT THE EVENT The onset of formal diplomatic relations between India and Israel in 1992 has opened multiple areas of collaboration between the two countries. The visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Israel in 2017 and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to New Delhi earlier this year has taken the ties to next level. The trajectory of relationship is clear and ascendant. The immense complementarity of the relationship is now recognised by both countries. While there is much focus on the defence relationship, the future lies more with the many ways Israeli technology can be used to boost the development of India’s critical sectors including food security; water management and efficiency; cyberspace and data protection; E-learning and innovation; and the ambitious digitalization drive. The session will focus on the current India-Israel ties and opportunities and challenges in a changing global environment
