Israel has released more Palestinian prisoners after Hamas freed 16 hostages in the last such swap under the current Gaza truce. The released detainees were welcomed by a large crowd as their bus arrived in the West Bank city of Ramallah. Among those freed was Ahed Tamimi, a 22-year-old activist who is known for slapping an Israeli soldier in 2017. The prisoners are widely seen by Palestinians as heroes resisting the Israeli occupation.
