The Nvidia RTX 5000 series is expected to launch in 2025, according to a roadmap image presented by Nvidia during an AI training demonstration using Nvidia’s new H100 AI GPU. The RTX 5000 series is codenamed Ada Lovelace-Next, after the famous mathematician and computer pioneer. The RTX 5000 series will be powered by the Nvidia Ada Lovelace architecture, which will feature a new design and improved performance for graphics and AI workloads. Some of the features that we can expect from the RTX 5000 series are: - **2X the speed** of the previous generation for single-precision floating-point (FP32) operations, which are essential for graphics and simulation workflows¹. - **Over 2X the throughput** of the previous generation for ray tracing, which enables photorealistic rendering of movie content, architectural design evaluations, and virtual prototyping of product designs¹. - **Up to 4X the AI compute performance** of the previous generation, thanks to the fourth-generation Tensor Cores that support acceleration of the FP8 precision data type and provide independent floating-point and integer data paths. - **32GB of GDDR6 memory**, which gives data scientists, engineers, and creative professionals the GPU memory needed to work with large datasets and workloads like rendering, data analytics, and simulation. - **AV1 encoders**, which allow streamers, broadcasters, and video conferencing users to enjoy higher quality and lower bandwidth consumption than H.264. The RTX 5000 series will also support virtualization, which allows a personal workstation to be repurposed into multiple high-performance virtual workstation instances, letting remote users share resources to drive high-end design, AI, and compute workloads. The RTX 5000 series will be compatible with the Quadro RTX 5000 card, which is already available and offers similar features but with lower performance. The Quadro RTX 5000 card has 3072 CUDA cores, 384 Tensor cores, 48 RT Cores and 16GB GDDR6 memory. The RTX 5000 series will be the most anticipated graphics cards of all time, as they will revolutionize gaming, content creation, data science, and more. They will also be very expensive, so start saving up now if you want to get your hands on one. That's all for this video. I hope you enjoyed it and learned something new.
