For our EthicalGEO initiative, we raise awareness on the true significance that 10 cm satellite imagery would have on the American economy. The primary ethical challenge we address are the consequences of not harmonizing policy with the pace and advancement of technology. As the United States Government scrutinizes improving imagery resolution limitation to 10 cm, an information gap of the opinion from industry and the American public gradually builds in the U.S. economy. By collaborating with several organizations, we quantify the economic benefits for six Earth Observation applications of 10 cm resolution imagery with an Ultra-High resolution SmallSat Global Assessment, Market reports, Policy Adjustment Network Study, and more. We found one of the most robust study’s in American history on improving the satellite imaging policy through a nationwide survey to more accurately convey the point of view of thousands of leaders, executives, and entrepreneurs. Our world is changing so fast and the fears we don’t face become our limitations. Human potential lies between what is and what could be.
