How does the Memphis aquifer replenish its water? With millions of users throughout West Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi, it is important that we understand how the aquifer is recharged and at what rate. This is no easy task as conditions change throughout the region. We're studying this important question to provide the community with an answer to "What is sustainable water use?" Researching the aquifer's recharge capacity provides students with hands-on experience in a team setting working with many disciplines.
