Chicken Donne Biryani | Donne Biryani Recipe | How To Make Donne Biryani | Chicken Donne Biryani Recipe | Donne Biryani | Chicken Biryani | Donne Biryani Recipe | Chickpet Donne Biryani | Bangalore Donne Biryani | Donne Chicken Biryani Recipe Ingredients for Chicken Donne Biryani Recipe: (Tsp-Teaspoon; Tbsp-Tablespoon) - Chicken- 750 gms (curry cut pieces with bones) - Jeera Samba rice- 2 US cups (450-500)gms For Marinating Chicken: - Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp - Red Chilli Powder- 2.5 tsp - Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tsp - Salt- 1.5 tsp - Whisked Curd- 5 tbsp Masala Paste: - Oil-2 tbsp - Green cardamom- 4 - Cloves- 4 - Cinnamon- 2 small pieces - Black Peppercorns- 15-20 - Shah Jeera-1/2 tsp - Fennel Seeds (Saunf)- 1 tsp - Bay Leaf-1 - Sliced onions- 2 medium onions (150 gms) - Ginger - 1”-10 gsm - Garlic-8 cloves (16 gms) - Green Chillies- 8 (cut into halves) - Coriander leaves chopped- 1 cup (30 gms) - Mint leaves - 1/2 cup (20 gms) Kasuri Methi-2 tsp For Cooking Chicken & Rice: - Green cardamom-6 - Cloves- 6 - Cinnamon- 2 - Black Cardamom-2 - Star Anise-1.5 - Black Peppercorns- 10 - Shah Jeera- 3/4 tsp - Mace- small piece - Stone flower (kalapasi/patthar ka phool)- 1.5 tsp - Bay Leaf-2 - Onions, sliced- 2 medium (150 gms) - Oil- 3 tbsp - Ghee- 3 tbsp+ 2 tsp later - Salt- 2 tsp Preparation: Marinate the chicken pieces with the items mentioned. Mix and set aside for around 30 mins. To Make Green Masala paste : - To make the Green masala paste, slice the onions, cut the green chillies. Also chop the coriander leaves and pick the mint leaves. - Heat oil in a pan and add all the whole spices. Give a mix and then add the sliced onions. Give a mix and fry on medium heat for around 3-4 mins till translucent. - Now add the green chillies, ginger and garlic. Give a mix and fry on medium heat for 1-2 mins. - Now add the chopped coriander leaves, mint leaves and the kasuri methi. - Switch off heat and stir it to combine for 30 secs. - Take out the mix on a plate and allow it to cool. - Once cooled, coarsely grind it. Now add 1/2 cup water and blend it into a paste. - Slice onions to be used while cooking chicken. - Soak the Jeera Samba rice for 30 mins. Process: - Heat oil and ghee in a cook pot or pan and then add the whole spices. - Give a stir and then add the sliced onions. - Fry on medium heat for around 5-6 mins till light brown in colour. - Now add the marinated chicken and mix and sear on high heat for around 5 mins. Continue to fry on medium heat for another 5 mins till the chicken is browned and oil separates. - Now add the Green Masala mix and fry on medium heat for around 3-4 mins till the masala is cooked and oil separates. Also add a pinch of salt. - Now add 4 US cups hot water. Give a mix. - Also add 2 tsp salt, give a mix and allow it to come to a boil - Now add the soaked rice, give a mix and then cook on high for 2 mins. - Now give a mix and cover and cook on low heat for a total of 20 mins. - Open cover and give a mix every 5 mins. - Switch off heat after 20 mins and add 2 tsp ghee on top. - Cover and let it rest for around 20 mins and then serve. #donnebiryani #chickendonnebiryani #donnebiryanirecipe #chickenbiryani #biryanirecipe #chickpetdonnebiryani #bangalorebiryani
