20th Century Flicks in Bristol (pictured exterior inset) is still open despite the rise of on-demand websites like Netflix and Amazon Prime killing most rental shops off. The tiny store is home to one of Britain's largest film collections with 20,000 titles on the shelves. Last year it only made £160 profit after wages, but now owner David Taylor, 38 (pictured) has found a new way to boost business. Using his amateur carpentry skills, he has turned the shop into a micro-cinema with 18 seats (pictured main). Mr Taylor says the venture will act 'like a jukebox' with customers able to choose which DVD they want to watch and select their two-hour slot.
