#politics #satire #funnyvideo #viralvideo In a world where you’re either an apathy peddler or an apathy avoider, Mr. Stephen Antonioni decided to snake oil sell a lovely beautiful set of doomer theories to whimsically stir up lots of comment section engagement and teach the younger and older generations that it’s pointless to try anything at all ever, actually (via vibes and pointing). Since the many people who saw his video decided to spawn a lovely echo chamber of dread worship in the comments and elsewhere, I decided to use this video as a backdrop to explain why humans love giving up and commiserating about how terrible everything is and talking about how necessary and inevitable giving up has become in a world that has changed slightly since a few years ago. So many people on Twitter (especially) and Youtube and Instagram have a humiliation-esque fetish for screaming that everything is doomed, and since all of that is really boring to analyze I chose an actual person with thoughts and beliefs to criticize instead. Bro really took an investment sponsorship in a video about how society is doomed. Treat this like me saying “ok doomer” with a blank sunglasses stare and vine boom for 19 minutes straight - nostalgia (I guess) is a powerful drug. #political #politicalsatire To clarify - this video isn’t meant to criticize chemical imbalance disorders that (in fact) make you feel apathy or dread or whatever. It’s just sorta annoying when people use big special theories to make big vague claims like “we’re doomed” seem juicy and academic and palatable! There’s a reason I’m getting so thoroughly tired of all this silliness. Hey guys what if we actually took walks or talked to people or joined activities or etc. instead of listening to brain and random internet people justifying doing mentally unhealthy things for the 5000000th time. It’s difficult to break cycles like that, but I think forcing yourself to do things is a masterable art!!! This is Whatwise. Bringing the cringe to philosophy. Through mewing vtubers and the easiest trolley problem, inflatable anime joy toys and minecraft speedruns, you'll see why it sometimes makes sense to think nothing mattering doesn't matter. Stop taking things seriously and embrace uncertainty, or something. The idea is sorta: what? Okay! Np
