A typo in Mississippi's tax bill has led to the state becoming the first in US history to eliminate already established income tax. The House and Senate in Mississippi have been debating with each other over an immediate income tax cut verse a more gradual approach. The bill went through many back and forth, and ultimately was not read over by lawmakers before submitted. This led to a typo in the bill which held that required revenue growth to trigger the tax cut is much lower than intended.
