While in Skardu, I was invited to a Balti cultural centre where I got to meet refugees who lost their homes during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. There, I got to try all their traditional foods; they were like nothing I'd ever tried before! The dishes I tried included Balay (Noodle Soup w/ Goat Meat), Zabkhoor (Buckwheat Cake w/ Butter), Prapu (Wheat Pasta w/ Walnut Paste), Zerchung (Donut), Kahwa (Green Tea), Marzan (Buckwheat w/ Apricot Oil), Bekgas (Buckwheat w/ Butter), Kisir (Buckwhat Pancake), Pharing Cho (Dried Apricot Soup), Mantu (Dumplings), Organic Fruit Chaat, and Achhar (Pickled Cabbage). If you enjoyed that, don't miss my tour of an organic village in this region https://youtu.be/RQYrNa1Um6w. 00:00 How'd these people end up here? 01:51 Balay 02:30 Zabkhoor 03:06 Clothes & Jewellery 03:42 Prapu 04:58 Zerchung 06:17 Marzan 06:55 Bekgas 07:37 Kisir 08:12 Pharing Cho 08:50 Mantu 09:45 Acchar 10:11 Handicrafts market 11:18 What did I buy? 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 1) SUBSCRIBE! ✔ Click https://www.youtube.com/c/KarlRock/?sub_confirmation=1 Then smash the BELL ICON so you don't miss a 🔴live stream or video. 2) SUPPORT MY CONTENT & GET SPECIAL BENEFITS 🙏🏻❤️ Press the blue JOIN button or https://www.youtube.com/c/KarlRock/join. 3) WANT TO TRAVEL TO INDIA?
