After Mamata Banerjee launched her campaign for the Bhabainpur assembly bypoll, Advocate Priyanka Tiberwal has been named as the candidate to challenge CM Mamata Banerjee. She has been the legal advisor of Babul Supriyo, and had earlier contested the 2015 Kolkata Municipal Council elections as a BJP candidate for the high profile seat, but lost to Trinamool Congress’ Swapna Samdar. The Trinamool Congress had accused the center of using its central agencies to target the ruling party in West Bengal.
