In this edition of Build Origins, we look at Ada Lovelace — often called the world’s first programmer. In 1843, while translating Charles Babbage’s notes on the Analytical Engine, Ada wrote the first algorithm. Her method for calculating Bernoulli numbers used loops, branching, and recursion — the same programming concepts we still use today. But Ada saw beyond calculation. She imagined machines creating music and graphics long before modern computers existed. Her story reminds us that breakthroughs start as ideas before the tools are ready. Ada didn’t wait for technology to catch up. Neither should you. #BuildRightNow #BuildOrigins #AdaLovelace #FirstProgrammer #ComputingHistory #AnalyticalEngine #CharlesBabbage #Programming #WomenInSTEM #Coding #STEMHistory #StartupLessons
