In what could bring about significant transformation in Bengaluru’s governance framework, the Greater Bengaluru Governance Bill was passed in the ongoing Legislative session on March 10 but amid a walkout by the Opposition parties. The Bill proposes to split Bengaluru to a maximum of seven corporations and provides for a three-tier governance of the city. This includes a new body called the Greater Bengaluru Authority (GBA) at the top tier, multiple municipal corporations at the second tier and ward committees at the third. To discuss the Bill, its provisions and many criticisms, we spoke to V. Ravichandar, who was part of the Brand Bengaluru Committee that conceptualised the Bill. #bengaluru #bangalore #siddaramaiah #congress Watch our detailed discussion on the draft Bill: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ANAnOvpZqSE Reporting: Nalme Nachiyar Video & Editing: Ravichandran N Thank you for watching our video!
