Founder of movement Stand for Humanity and consciousness life coach Yasmin Autwal has been heavily involved in the refugee crisis since 2015. Yasmin takes new volunteers with her to the camps in Calais to spread awareness, help with their plight and, most of all, spread love and hope. Yasmin uses her work as a life coach to help others ignite the power of themselves and the connection we all have to humanity. She is also a performance poet and combines this with storytelling to convey powerful social messages as part of her movement. In her talk Yasmin shares insights from Calais and what she has found to be a much wider and dangerous problem facing humanity: apathy. As part of her movement she details how we can overcome this and with more of us stepping up and reclaiming the power within us as individuals, we can be the huge and positive change that humanity needs right now. http://stand-for-humanity.tumblr.com This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
