Integrated Defense System by Solar Industries with Missiles & Direct Energy Weapon The proliferation of low RCS Drone/ Remotely Piloted Aircrafts (RPAs) /Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) has enhanced the air threat multifold. They may be employed individually or as a SWARM as cheaper and flexible options to target adversaries’ assets. These threats can be countered by utilizing multi sensor and multi kill options integrated into cohesive system with suitable mobility. In a recent interview, the Solar Industries Chairman, SN Nuwal has said that his firm has been granted permission to manufacture hard kill measure integrated with Laser as well as missiles to neutralize the UAVs. As per SN Nuwal, the system will be completely ready in next 2 years. This system can be deployed on stationary as well as mobile platform covering various aspects of threat environment. The Solar industry has been expanding its portfolio in defence manufacturing very aggressively. The firm is already producing booster for BrahMos, Pinaka rockets, components of Akash missile, next generation handheld grenades, warhead for DRDO’s MPATGM, 150 & 250 km range Maheshwarastra series of rockets for Pinaka and Nagastra series of loitering ammunition. Recently, the Ministry of Defence, has also released an RFP to procure quantity Nine (09) Integrated Drone Detection and Interdiction System (Improved Version) under Buy (Indian) Category. The system is being procured for Indian Army and the delivery of the equipment will be completed within 12 months from the date of signing of contract. The proposed system will be deployed independently or in conjunction with in-service Air Defence weapon system in all types of terrain such as Plains, desert & HAA. IDD&IS Components: 1. Surveillance & Detection & Tracking System The system may comprise of: Surveillance & Detection System, Tracking System, Interdiction systems & Control Station.  The surveillance & detection system should be based on Radar and Passive RF Detection System. It will have an EOFCS Tracking System which will be based on EO & Thermal Imaging sight with tracking facility. It should be able to be cued by radar and/or Passive RF detection system towards the direction of detected target. It should be able to lay on the target and provide tracking data to control station for engagement. The Surveillance & Detection System should be able to detect the 0.1sqm RCS target from 10 km and 0.01sqm from 8 km. minimum detection altitude is 3 km. For EOFCS system the detection range is 8km for target of size 1.6mX0.3m and 6 km for target of size 0.3X0.3 km. 2. Soft Kill System Based on the inputs available from Passive detection and analysis of the transmission parameter the jamming system should be able to provide suitable solution for jamming the drones. The jammer should be able to generate high power RF with suitable parameters to jam and degrade the drone up to a range of not less than 5 Kms using directional antenna. 3. Laser Weapon System It should be able to receive target information from Control Station & get cued on to the target. It should be able to engage designated targets up to a range of not less than two km during operation. The system should have option for integration with existing Gun and Missile systems of Army AD to exchange target data to initiate/allow of engagement of target in using suitable interface device. DRDO D4 Anti-Drone system This requirement of army is very similar to DRDO's anti-drone system D4S i.e Drone Detect, Deter & Destroy System but the range requirement is more. The defense PSU BEL is the production partner for the D4 system. Back in September 2021, the tri-services had signed contracts for acquiring DRDO-developed anti-drone systems. In April 2022, the technology of anti-drone system has been transferred to Adani Defence Systems, Larsen & Toubro, Astra Microwave.     Join this channel to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0SNcPlFneKhA9GPJt9vNZA/join **WHOMSOEVER IT MAY CONCERN Most of the pictures clip or BGM included in the Video Belongs to their Respected Owners and we do not claim rights.
