Now hearing aid manufacturers are hoping they can continue that trend for their products by tapping into Apple for new ventures.Hearing aid manufacturers and audiologists hope a new collaboration with Apple will help business.The technology giant and Danish hearing aid company GNResound have developed a new hearing aid that's compatible with the iPhone, iPad and the iPod Touch. It's called Linx.The device syncs wirelessly with the newest Apple mobile devices. Phone calls, FaceTime chats, music, movies, turn-by-turn navigation fcan be streamed directly to the small earpiece.The hearing aids work like normal when they're not pulling in audio from a smartphone or tablet.Because the hearing aids are medical devices, they won't be available at your local Apple store. Instead, people will have to visit an audiologist.They run about $3,000.
