AMD plans to launch at least four GPUs in the RDNA 4 "Radeon RX 8000" series, powered by Navi 48 and Navi 44 chips. The company is shifting focus from high-end GPUs to mainstream users, following the strategy used with Polaris and first-gen RDNA. The RDNA 4 lineup will include GDDR6 memory with speeds up to 20 Gbps. AMD's partners are testing Navi 48 and Navi 44 samples, with a full launch expected at CES 2025 and release in Q1. AMD will face competition from Intel’s Arc Battlemage and NVIDIA’s RTX 50 series. The green team may need to adjust pricing or fast-track a mid-range RTX 50 release to stay competitive.
