An interview with Herb Menard, the Tech Tutor who comes in on Wednesdays to help Shelby Township library patrons with their technology issues. With a computer background stretching back to the early days of giant mainframes and punch cards, Herb has seen it all when it comes to computers and technology. After finishing a 25 year career with Hewlett Packard, Herb began to volunteer his time at local libraries by helping people deal with our complex wired world. He has serviced laptops and tablets, showed people how to send an email, created slide shows and presentations, and everything else in between. Herb shares some great experiences of being on the ground floor of the computer revolution. Learn about his work with the RCA Spectra 70, a computer from the 1960's that would fill an entire room, yet the phone in your pocket has more computing power.
