The biggest complaint people have about an export business is how to find buyers! And it’s ridiculous how people think that just emailing folks based on database available online will help them close sales. Cross border trade does not happen based on cold emails alone. All the exporters I work with attend at least 3-4 international trade shows from their industry every year, build contacts at the expos and then follow up with samples, commercials and then close deals over 3-4 physical and virtual meetings. It takes time to build distribution, and does not work by just sending 100 cold emails, to which you don’t receive a response and then you’re wondering what’s wrong. Here’s a list of the top expos happening globally over the next few months, where you should consider visiting if you’re into exports. 👉🏼 Gulfood 2024 from 19th to 23rd Feb in Dubai - which is a global F&B Sourcing Event 👉🏼 Malaysia International Automotive & Parts Expo - 16-18 Nov 2023 👉🏼 Brands of India 2023 - Dubai - Apparel - 27-29 Nov 2023 👉🏼 Automechanica Shanghai 2023 - 29 Nov to 2nd Dec The above are just examples. And it is a substantial investment to participate in such programs - normally costs between Rs 2 to 5 lakhs easily for such a trip including tickets and accommodation. So don’t just book based on this information. Do your diligence on participants, events, pre-schedule meetings with those coming... put in strategic effort. Business is hard. Data, and acting on opportunities makes it easier. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Click here to subscribe to my YouTube channel: https://bit.ly/3cpTleK ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Like, Share, Subscribe for more!
