There are reports Syria's president Bashar al Assad has left the country as Syrian rebels say they have taken over the capital, Damascus. The country's president says he is ready to hand over the government to the opposition in a peaceful transition of power. The leader of the rebel group claimed the group is in the final moments of taking over the nearby city of Homs.
