Shark Tank star Kevin O’Leary has defended former US president Donald Trump and slammed the "extraordinary" bond he was ordered to pay. The $US454 million bond that Trump was ordered to pay is related to his New York civil fraud case. During the Shark Tank star's appearance on Fox News, he stated the political persecution of Trump was “an attack on America”. “This is an attack on America and I don’t know how you can look at it any other way, and as an investor, and I know plenty of investors who are completely disturbed by this,” he said. “But no one is going to put any money to work in New York in these amounts until this thing settles down.” O’Leary argued seizing Trump’s assets on a bond could be “very troubling” for the image of America's economy. The businessman believed the attack on Trump would scare many investors from putting money into New York.
