The piece starts presenting “The Dark Age”, with a Solo Bass Saxophone (like a king walks in his kingdom). Afterwards we find a young soloist with a Soprano Saxophone playing a very fresh, very simple music, presenting his simple dream, what “The Dark Age” believes it’s just ridiculous! “The Dark Age” comes back showing him the reality, while he tries to continue his dream in their presence he finds out that “it’s just a dream and all what he can to do is to stop dreaming”. And here comes the surprise with many other saxophonists of his generation show up on the stage supporting his ideas and finally he understand that he can fight against “The Dark Age” with the support of many others who believe in his ideas. But the dark age will not let it go easily, they attack them aggressively, scare them, till they understand that it can be their end, or to be in the security by the side of “The Dark Age”. Sadly we see all the young ones join “The Dark Age” against their friend, till he finds himself at the end alone, just with his dream. And here we meet many questions; is it the destiny of the dream to be “just a dream”? Who win at the end? Is there a chance for the dream to survive? Is it the destiny of the dreamer to join “The Dark Age”? Or to die?
