Nitin Prakash Shelke, a hotelier, died in an accident that occurred at 10.30 pm on July 7 at Jategaon Phata in Parner taluka. The accident was caused by the MG Gloster car (MH 23 BG 2929) of Sagar Dhas, son of BJP MLA Suresh Dhas. Shelke was taking a U-turn on his motorcycle when the speeding car hit him hard. Shelke, who was seriously injured in the accident, died before treatment. After the incident, a case has been registered against Sagar Dhas at Supa Police Station and the police have taken him into custody.
