No better way to start a Nepal food tour! We washed our breakfast down with a Nepali lassi. Lassi is a popular yogurt drink in Nepal, also found in India as an Indian street food, it’s rich, flavourful, creamy and delicious. We continued on our Kathmandu street food tour for a huge dal bhat thakali. Dal bhat is the most popular food in Nepal, and the Nepali national dish of the country. This popular Nepali food can be found all over the country and eaten at any time of day, it’s tasty and full of flavour, and the best way to have it is as a dal bhat thakali, filled with mutton curry, fish curry, and the special neplai dhinido! Afterwards we tried the smoky and grilled sekuwa, a grilled meat in Nepal, the sekuwa BBQ is a very popular street food in Nepal. We couldn’t forget the best street food in Nepal, momo. We tried the best momo in Kathmandu! These momos were guchha momo, little momos packed with buffalo meat and so much flavour. You cannot go far in Kathmandu or Nepal without eating some momo, and these were delicious! We finished off our Nepali street food tour in Kathmandu with something sweet to wash it all down.
